COOKING METHOD

The Classic Oven-baked Method
(15-20min)

1) Preheat the oven to 230-250°C
Use 230°C for baking 2 to 6 empanadas, and 240-250°C for larger batches
2) Brush the empanadas with an egg wash for a glossy finish
3) Bake for 15-20min until golden
Note that empanadas with creamier fillings like humita or ham and cheese will lose a little of filling if overcooked so keep a close eye and remove as needed!
4) Allow them to cool briefly to avoid burns. Enjoy !!

* If you are baking large quantities we highly suggest you to defrost the empanadas in the fridge before baking


Fastest ! The Deep-frying Method
(4min)

1) Defrost empanadas in the fridge
2) Fill your pan with oil and heat to 180°C. Fry until golden for about 4 min.


Easiest! The Air-fryer Method
(15min)

1) Place the frozen empanadas in the air fryer and cook at 185°C for 15min


The BBQ grill
(10-15min)

1) Defrost empanadas in the fridge
2) Place on the BBQ grill for 10-15 min avoiding direct heat
